Psychology Intern
Danielle Ledesma, M.A., M.Psy. (she/her) is a doctoral intern at Counseling and Psychological Services. She is studying clinical psychology at The George Washington University. She received her undergraduate degree from Syracuse University and later her master’s at the University of Denver. As a doctoral intern, Danielle has provided multiple years of therapeutic services under the supervision of licensed psychologists. Danielle believes that relationships are central to our lives and as such, the quality of our relationships often determines the quality of our lives. Danielle partners with her clients to discover the barriers that keep them from establishing the fulfilling relationships and lives they desire.
Through a psychodynamic and feminist theoretical orientation, Danielle is committed to making the therapeutic space one that prioritizes emotional safety and emphasizes her client’s strengths. She prioritizes empowering her clients to take on the challenges that come with growth. Danielle has experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults experiencing complex trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and other issues.
