Shereen Ayoubi, Psy.D. attended George Washington University where she received both her master’s degree in Psychology and her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology. She completed an APA-accredited doctoral internship at George Mason University’s (GMU) Counseling and Psychological Services. Dr. Ayoubi also attended GMU for her undergraduate studies, and is passionate about working with Mason students. She has experience working in university counseling, outpatient community mental health, and outpatient medical settings with individuals ranging from adolescence through adulthood. Some of her professional interests include trauma, relational concerns, diversity and multicultural issues, and mental health stigma reduction. Dr. Ayoubi enjoys working with clients of all backgrounds and helping them to navigate the world within their particular context and layers of intersecting identities.
