Dr. Ayoubi approaches supervision in an integrative manner, specifically utilizing relational, developmental, and multiculturally-informed approaches. She values the supervisory relationship as a core component of the supervision process, and emphasizes the co-creation of a safe supervisory space to foster growth and development in her supervisees. While encouraging supervisees to engage curiosity and understanding around clients’ lived experiences and identities, she also supports them in fostering insight and awareness into the intersectionality of their own identities to better understand how this can shape their clinical interactions. Dr. Ayoubi views supervision as a space to be met with non-judgment, transparency, compassion, and understanding to help supervisees grow as clinicians. It is her goal to meet her supervisees where they are at, work collaboratively with them, and support their needs in their professional journey.
