Psychology Intern

Aysha DeSilva is a psychology intern at George Mason University Counseling and Psychological Services. She is completing her Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Washington D.C. campus. She developed interests in treating depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, and acculturative stress while completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. Aysha gained experience working in three university counseling centers, private practice, and a psychiatric hospital, before becoming an intern at Mason CAPS. She utilizes culturally inclusive approaches when incorporating interpersonal, psychodynamic, and family systems frameworks.
