Psychology Intern
Tali Pelts is a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at George Washington University, where she also completed her Clinical Psychology master’s degree. She has provided individual and group therapy in a range of settings — from community mental health to residential care to inpatient psychiatry — working with clients from a wide variety of backgrounds. Grounded in psychodynamic thinking, Tali approaches therapy with the belief that our past continues to shape our present, often in ways outside our conscious awareness. She sees the therapeutic relationship as a space for making sense of those patterns and finding new ways of relating to ourselves and others. While her foundation is psychodynamic, she draws on a range of clinical frameworks and tailors her approach to the needs and readiness of each client. Central to her work is the creation of a therapeutic environment that feels open enough for real exploration and growth. Outside the therapy room, Tali can be found simmering aromatic broths, learning to safely lift heavy weights, or getting lost in a good memoir.
