Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Jessica received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a concentration in Family Systems Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Case Western Reserve University (2014 and 2016). She is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia and is board certified as a PMHNP by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She is an active member of Sigma Theta Tau (International Honor Society of Nursing), the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, and the Neuroscience Education Institute. Jessica participated in Army ROTC throughout college and commissioned as an Army Officer in 2014; she then served 7 years on active duty as a psychiatric nurse practitioner following the completion of her master’s degree. She has worked in a variety of settings including inpatient psychiatry, outpatient mental health, consult/liaison psychiatry, and crisis intervention. As a nurse practitioner, Jessica is able to provide pharmacotherapy (prescribing medications to treat psychiatric/mental health conditions). Jessica enjoys using psychoeducation, cognitive behavioral techniques, supportive therapy, and motivational interviewing in her practice to supplement pharmacotherapy.
