Psychology Extern

Anna is a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at George Washington University. She has worked with individuals across the lifespan and in diverse settings, including community mental health, schools, and private practice. Anna approaches therapy with warmth, compassion, and collaboration, prioritizing the development of a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship. She values and honors the unique identities, backgrounds, and experiences each client brings.
Drawing from both psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral frameworks, Anna tailors treatment to meet each individual’s needs. Her work focuses on helping clients gain insight into how past experiences influence the present, while also incorporating practical coping skills and strategies to address current challenges. Her ultimate goal is to support clients in cultivating greater awareness, agency, and confidence. Outside of her clinical work, Anna enjoys long walks in nature (often stopping to greet dogs along the way) and relaxing with a good fiction book.
