Psychology Intern
Taeja is a fourth-year student in the Counseling Psychology, PhD program at Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN. She obtained a MS in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern State University, in Natchitoches, LA. Previously, she has worked with veterans conducting psychodiagnostics testing, and in the private practice setting conducting both individual and group therapy to adults. Taeja utilizes a relational-cultural and intersectional approach to treatment. She has a special interest in treating trauma in communities of color, as well as fostering healthy relational experiences for all students. Her goal as a therapist is to help students learn to connect and foster growth in their interpersonal relationships while striving to meet clients with kindness, authenticity, and understanding. Self-care includes reading, listening to podcasts, being a plant parent, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
