Licensed Professional Counselor

Shannon is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor.  She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, GA and a Master’s degree in Counseling from Regis University in Denver, CO.  Shannon previously worked at East Carolina University’s Center for Counseling and Student Development. She also has experience working with at-risk youth in day treatment programs located in East St. Louis, IL and Biloxi, MS.  Shannon’s work stems from an integrative approach employing principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.  Shannon’s areas of interest include crisis management, behavior modification, stress management, anxiety, and adjustment/transition issues. Shannon also has experience working with student athletes.
