Psychology Extern
Kate Scopelliti is a psychology extern at George Mason University CAPS. Kate received her undergraduate degree at Temple University, where she majored in Psychology and minored in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She then spent two years at Brown University assisting in research examining self-destructive behavior in an adolescent population. Currently, Kate is a 4th-year doctoral candidate in George Washington University’s Professional Psychology Program, where she also received her master’s degree in Psychology. Her clinical interests include mood disorders, personality disorders, suicidality, relational concerns, transitional issues, identity development, diversity/multicultural concerns. Kate approaches clinical work from a culturally humble perspective and strives to provide a safe, welcoming, and affirming environment for all her clients. In her free time, Kate enjoys running, reading, cooking, and spending time with her two dogs and cat.
