Psychology Extern
Daniel, M.Psy. (he/his) is an extern at Counseling and Psychological Services at George Mason University. He is currently a Clinical Psychology Psy.D. doctoral student at Divine Mercy University, where he completed his Master’s degree. His prior clinical experience includes working at a community mental health center and private practice. Before pursuing doctoral studies, he worked as a behavioral health technician, which included providing direct support to young adults with diverse needs and ABA therapy with children with autism. Daniel primarily has a psychodynamic approach to therapy but is open to integrating other modalities such as CBT and Mindfulness. Daniel has a special interest in working with people undergoing life transitions, experiencing relational stress, and having concerns with one’s identity. He aims to be a patient, culturally sensitive, and empathetic clinician who accompanies clients to reach their goals and move towards flourishing. He enjoys playing sports (especially basketball) and watching movies in his free time.
