Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Adam is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in Virginia. He received a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Social Work from East Tennessee State University. Adam has had a lifelong fascination with human nature, so these degrees, combined with two CWSE-accredited internships, clinical licensure, and years of therapy experience, allow him to provide a rich quality of service to students experiencing the struggles, enjoyment, heartache, love, and confusion that we all experience individually and in relationships. In his therapeutic approach, Adam utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Counseling, Humanistic/Client-Centered Counseling, and Interpersonal Counseling. Adam’s goal with his practice is to help students discover their intrinsic ability to move towards wellness and to notice their capacity to redefine success. Adam’s professional interests include supporting LGBTQIA+ clients, with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and working with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. In their personal time, Adam is fond of walking the family dog, volunteering, reading sci-fi dystopian novels, doing puzzles, traveling abroad, and going to museums.
