Psychology Extern

Yifei (she/her/hers) is a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at George Washington University (GWU). She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Hong Kong (HKU), a Master’s degree in Expressive Arts Therapy from the HKU, and a Master’s in Psychology from GWU. Yifei has worked in various clinical settings, including schools, community centers, NGOs, psychiatric hospitals, and private practice. She is currently trained with a psychodynamic focus integrating feminist, interpersonal, and mindfulness approaches. Yifei believes that human potential is out of our imagination and that human relations are pivotal to healing and personal growth. She aims to be an empathetic and trustworthy companion for students on their self-discovery journey. Yifei’s research interests include complex trauma, personality functioning, and minority identity.
