Natalia Wannon, Psy.D.
Dr. Natalia Wannon is a post-doctoral staff clinician at GMU’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). She works with students at our Arlington Campus, including students in our law school and other graduate level programs. She received her B.A. in Psychology and Brain & Cognitive Sciences at the University of Rochester and completed her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology. Natalia has worked at university counseling centers, community mental health centers, private practice, and residential treatment settings. Her clinical interests include relationship struggles, identity development, trauma, and deepening the therapeutic relationship. Natalia’s clinical orientation is best described as developmental and integrative. As such she incorporates an examination of early and present attachment themes, with an exploration of how understanding these themes can help an individual take steps towards achieving deeper intimacy and greater confidence in their personal and professional life. Natalia has experience working with diverse populations of clients and a wide range of mental health concerns and is excited to be working with GMU graduate students at the Arlington campus. Outside of CAPS, Natalia works at a private practice in Arlington, VA. In her free time, Natalia enjoys outdoor activities, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
