Jadelyn K. Martinez
Psychology Intern
Jadelyn is a doctoral psychology intern at CAPS. She earned her M.A./Ed.M. in Mental Health and Psychological Counseling at Teachers College, Columbia University and is now in the final year of her Ph.D. program through Florida State University. She has worked in multiple university counseling centers and has plans to continue working with college students after completing her doctorate degree. Jadelyn uses an integrative therapeutic approach based in person-centered therapy, a multicultural framework, and strength-based approach. She works with GMU students through individual and group therapy, as well as weekly workshops. Her areas of interest include identity development, anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationships, family of origin concerns, and social justice. When not at CAPS she enjoys reading, painting, and spending time with her admittedly spoiled dog.
