As the possibility of terrorism and war are thrust upon us in our daily lives, we are each likely to experience anxiety as well as a variety of other feelings. The specific form of our concerns and our ways of coping may vary but we are likely to ask ourselves "How do I continue to live my life when there are so many uncertainties?" and "How do I manage my anxiety when I do not feel safe for myself or for others in my life?"

While there are many ways in which we are not in control of the world events, we can establish an increased sense of control in our daily lives and maintain our emotional well-being by applying healthy strategies. Here are a few:
